I have been here so many times with my coworkers and always get too overwhelmed by all the different food we get and forget to write a review, but here it goes! They are always so accommodating for large groups and the staff is still attentive and helpful picking out food and drinks. This time we had a group of 12 and I think we ordered the right amount of food for the group (sometimes we end up with too much or too little). The cocktails are all soo good, too and they have great recommendations on wine. In the past we've tried the pastas and the large plates, but the pasta has always felt average and the large plates can be harder to split with large groups so we stuck to the other sections this time. Also, our table did get the dates (3 orders) and they are always a crowd favorite, but always too spicy for me so I didn't have them, but I did try everything else that we ordered. Since we didn't get any large plates, I will say that pretty much everything comes with bread so it is a lot of bread. The olives are always a good start and there are a lot so we only get one. We tried the tabbouleh this time and wow it so good - a great light and summery dish with lots of veggies. The short rib hummus is an absolute must every time and never disappoints. The cheese plate was good but nothing crazy good. A nice to have if folks are interested. The deluxe focaccia is an absolute must have. We ordered two for our table and it's always one of the first things to be finished. We also tried the calzone this time and I was pleasantly surprised by how much meat there was - super tasty. Both pizzas were good, but not great in my opinion. The spicy soppressata had a little kick, but was doable. The table saved just enough room for one of each dessert. The affogato was really good, but definitely the toughest to share. The profiterole was probably my least favorite, but still decent. The raspberry gelato, cheesecake, and chocolate mousse were all realllly good so I'm glad we made it to dessert this time!!

We came to dine here on a rainy Tuesday evening. We expected restaurants to be less busy on a Tuesday night but Avec was quite busy. The staff greeted us and they were kindly able to make room for a party of 2 & a baby without a reservation. Thankful it worked out because we were celebrating our anniversary and I've been to Avec in the past h thoroughly enjoyed the food. Atmosphere: Great for groups/ dates. It is loud with everyone talking so not ideal if you want a quiet dinner time. Staff: friendly and great service Food: Wood fired calamari ($24): The calamari is not the typical calamari that you may be familar ordering from restaurants. It was wood fired chewy (not fried) and saucy. Very flavorful with a kick to it with the kashmiri chili. Reminded me of indian food/curry with the mix of flavors and spice. Not ideal for those that cannot handle spicy food. The portion is perfect for sharing with 1-2 people depending on how much food or other appetizers you'll be ordering. Hamachi crudo ($28): The ingredients from the sauce to the toppings complimented the crudo well. Fresh and savory with the sauce. The portion is small so it'd be a good appetizer to share amongst 2 people unless there will be a bunch of appetizers ordered. I'd recommend trying this out! Chorizo stuffed medjool dates ($20) - Very flavorful and has a kick to it. The sweetness of the dates helps with the spice chorizo. I tried their stuffed dates years ago and preferred that over this but this was liked by my SO. This also appears to have been wood fired perhaps..it was a little too burnt looking for us. A filling appetizer and comes with 4 dates. Can be shared amongst 2-3 or for those that'd just like a taste, a date can be cut in half as the chorizo can be filling. Hearth Roasted confit chicken thighs (half $24) - the ingredients tasted good together and the chicken thighs were off the bone and tender. Yumm. I'd recommend trying this dish. I'll be back if I'm in the area.

This is strictly just my bar experience I stopped by the bar for a quick bite and drink, and I'm so glad I did! The bartender (sorry, I forgot his name!) was a lifesaver when I couldn't decide on a white wine. He expertly crafted a delicious sangria that hit the spot. I paired it with the calamari appetizer, which I must warn spice-averse friends: this is not your traditional sauce! It's a bold, spicy twist that will delight those who enjoy a little heat. The ambience is adorable and perfect for celebrating any occasion. Plus, there's a rooftop area I'm eager to explore on my next visit. Overall, a great experience and I'll definitely be back!"

Came by for a midweek dinner to catch up with a friend and there were many great small plates that stole our interest. Our waiter Walter said that it's pretty popular to get a few in lieu of larger meals so we did just that. He was very personable, attentive and not bashful about telling us about all of his favorites. Pretty much everything he suggested was amazing! Ambiance felt very bland but open concept. Wasn't too busy when we were seated but filled up shortly afterwards. We ordered two different drinks from the bar, both unique ingredients (I can't recall the names though) and then the house favorite medjule dates wrapped in bacon, filled with sausage and soaked in a tomato sauce. Very filling and oh so tasty! Lots of different flavors infused together. Get these!! Then we shared braised beef over hummus, the meat was incredibly tender and satisfyingly savory. My tastebuds were dancing! It's only served with one single pita which I thought was silly so we got a few extra ($2 each) to get every last bit of that plate. Our bevvies needed a refill so we opted for wine, Walter was a big fan of the Sangiovese and it hit just perfectly! Afterwards we contemplated another small plate or dessert but frankly we were quite satisfied. There's plenty else to go back to try another visit. Can't believe it's been here all along and I haven't been before now. For two small plates and two rounds of drinks, our tab was $135 US before tip so it's a bit splurgy but very high quality and farm fresh ingredients. Also, we had initially thought about going up to the rooftop for a bit ahead of our reservation but ended up not. I remain curious and will go back to check it out another time maybe for the happy hour scene. Apparently a slightly lighter fare menu and festive vibe. Ambiance: upscale 8/10 Service: 10/10 Food quality & presentation: 10/10 Value: splurgy 7/10

Absolutely excellent!! So creative! Wonderful Mediterranean fusion, executed perfectly. Every little thing tasted great, but the highlights were the tagliatelle and the tagine, both of which were delightfully tangy and savory. Service was really friendly, food came out quickly and well timed, and the patio vibes were impeccable. Highly highly recommend for an upscale, family style outing! I went with my family and it was perfect!

Loved every dish I had here! The farm salad was very refreshing and like the mix of the sauce. I also really enjoyed the chorizo stuffed dates -- I loved the mix of the sweet and savory though it was a little on the salty side. Other standouts were the chicken shwarma and the pork shoulder. The honey profiterole was also a way to end the meal! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Loved the food. Everything was so delicious There was some great flavors in the medjool dates. Had a spice to it. The pizza was perfectly balanced with all toppings. Great cocktails Service was nice. The staff (other than our waiter) were insanely nice and accommodating The place has simple decor which was very inviting.

Went to Avec for brunch at 1030 on a Saturday and it was surprisingly empty. We had a reservation but didn't seem too necessary. I started with a Bloody Mary and wow they have a great mix! Perfect amount of spice and garnished with pickle, olive, salami, pepper jack, and a pepper. No picture but worth trying! I ordered the bialy for the table based on a previous picture showing very small bagels. This was much larger than anticipated and I had enough for 3 meals myself. The lebnah was my favorite topping but the white fish spread was surprisingly good. The restaurant is beautiful and filled with plants. Service was good but nothing to write home about.
